I am thankful for the Robertsons

Dear Family,

I have added a few more pics of Pop, Papa, Uncle Scott's visit.
This very grassroots blog is my attempt to have something that serves as a common ground for the Robertson clan. Hopefully, over the next couple of days, it is a place that we all have taken a few minutes to visit and to just think about one another, and hopefully in doing so a little bit of joy and love will fill our hearts!

Although we won't all be together for the Thanksgiving holiday, I know that we always are, in heart. So have a happy and safe day, enjoy the ono food and know that we are blessed to have each other!

A hui hou!

A Visit to Homelani

Flowers for Aunty Nani and Gagi. Thank you, Iwata's for the flowers!

Aloha Pop, Papa, Uncle Scott

You wouldn't believe how long it took to upload this pic..hee! hee! Shannon and Channing are missing because she had to run to her office...but I have pics of them to post.
It was a great day! Pop, Papa, Uncle Scott...enjoyed himself, ate lots of local food and just smiled and laughed as he watched all of the family. Yes, we are a bunch of comedians. Thank you to everyone who made this a special day for him. To all who couldn't be there, we knew that you were there in spirit as it sure was a complete day! Aloha to everyone...Imua Robertsons!

Okay, Robertson's, the first original recipe posted to this blog...from Liko! According to Liko, this is real easy, "not your ordinary enchilada recipe" and most of all, ono! Try it and blog your response! Where's your recipe? Share it with the family!
Thanks, Robertsons.

Enchilada sauce:

Beef bullion
Water
Ancho chile powder
Tomato sauce
Sherry
Garlic
Onion
Your favorite Hot Sauce
Cider vinegar
Butter
Cumin
Mexican hot chocolate powdered

Enchilada:

your favorite shredded meat of choice
Cheese
Olives

Prep:

In another bowl add your shredded meat, coat meat with some of your home made enchilada sauce add some cheese and some garlic powder and onion powder. Set aside for stuffing.

Tortillas - slightly fry your corn tortilla in a warm oil bath just enough to keep from cracking. Then dip the tortilla in your warm enchilada sauce.

Put Tortilla in baking pan, stuff and roll putting the open end into the pan, closed end facing up. continue until the pan is full top with Enchilada Sauce, Sliced Olives and Cheese.

Finish by putting the pan into the oven @ 375degrees for about 20-25 minutes

Cilantro Lime Rice:

Cooked LONG GRAIN RICE. Not sticky but Fluffy.
Finely chopped cilantro
The juice of a lime
Salt

Prep:

In another bowl add your long grain rice, add enough cilantro to see green speckles, squeeze about a whole limes worth of juice into rice and add a little bit of salt.

Yakima comes to Hawaii

Yep, the great one is back for a quick visit. He will be in town on Veteran's day, for a few hours, as he and Sally and Sally's sister and brother in law are on a cruise...how cool! We are looking forward to getting together at the Moho Road house~the Lee's that day for lunch. We are so blessed to have him around! Hope to see those of you who can make it, there!

Guess Who?

Yep, she's a cutie alright and all grown up now. I really believed that God sent me a live baby to play with when I would visit in the summer. Those rubber baby dolls just didn't cut it any more.
Big hint: she's the baby!
