Tristan Haskell being serious as always.
Robert Harrington and Scotty Robertson....in the house!
Yeah, Robert is #3, don't forget it....=)

Mom and daughter Harrington...Linn and Chels
Okay, so while we were all watching the older boys, we didn't know that Taulai's game was going on....poor guy, playing his heart out, with no fans!
Victoria enduring ....it was a great day, no wins, but a lot of family LOVE!

The Robertson Sister's Road Trip-Nanna and Tori

As we were leaving Puna to head out on our trip we decided we wanted our first picture shot, unfortunately the only photographer we could find was a midget who was kept in a cage...but he did the best he could (hee! hee! only joking La'i)

A couple of years ago, I stopped at the Laupahoehoe Minit Stop and out of desperation bought one of their 3 piece fried chicken meals. Since then I have been hooked! This chicken is still crunchy after a couple of hours...and the potato wedges are great. Portuguese woman comes in every day and cooks the chicken. ONO!

As we entered Honoka'a this is what the weather looked like, although it never really got worse than light rainfall.
A road trip on the Hamakua Coast is not complete without a stop at TEX drive inn.
At first we were going to buy a malasada, but the line was so long and besides, we had just stuffed ourselves with fried chicken, so I decided to just take some pics...lo cal malasada pleasure!
I tried and tried but my car just had a mind of it's own and insisted on pulling in here!
Of course this is my favorite wine store. Whenever the Wakayama's are in (Yukie, I believe) asks how the Landgrafs are...she remembers Aunty Nani and Uncle Libert from those years in Waimea.
Click on the picture above to read the message on their window...I love it! I also did a post on Kamuela Liquor store on my CoconutGirlLive blog, you can read it here.

I go for the under $10 wines, hand picked by the Wakayama's and always good!
The reason for our trip...Tyson Alexander Lagunte's first birthday party held at Kona Palisades Community Center. Pretty and shy, Tori checks her text's.
I "nevah" eat crunchy, fresh opae like this in ages, I just grinded!
Tyson Alexander, his parents Kawai and Jenn and his God parents. I had the privilege of doing his baptism that morning.
If you click on this picture you will see the Chinese name on this old building on Ali'i Drive in Kona. I have eaten at Basil's many times over the years, however this is the first time I noticed this old signage.
Tori on Easter Sunday morning (our last morning) on our way to our early morning walk. The steeple in back is the one on the old stone church (first in Hawaii) on Ali'i Drive. By the way it was packed with people and the music was "rocking"..nice to see spiritual life in an old missionary church!
Sista girl enjoying her sunny Sunday! Tori and I saw mullets jumping and playing around this girl.
Yep, the Easter Bunny (s) didn't forget Kona! Are they cute or what? Thank heaven's for our visitors!
Connie then and now.....ha! ha!
These little mo'o are all over Kona, but I had an affinity towards this guy as he perched on the coffee shop trash can and licked up all of the coffee spills, loves that Kona Coffee!
Tori's real mom is a mermaid..
Everyone was in church on Easter Sunday morning, the streets actually filled after services let out.
I couldn't resist taking this guys picture, talking about the good life!
I think the guy on the left forgot to take off his pajamas...and he has the nerve to call the other guy a jackass! I could not resist taking this picture, this was on a coffee farm just South of Ocean View. Too funny!

We drove home "Ka'u" way, it is amazing how many homes and buildings are popping up, it actually makes the ride seem shorter.

Once upon a time in Birthday land

Far, far away on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean lived a Queen named Jackie. On her 45th birthday (okay, I am not the royal accountant) she had all of the royal family gather at the Hokulani Steak House located in a small peasant village near the royal castle

This is an actual picture of the queen herself, in full regalia. This picture was taken shortly before the paparazzi rushed in, threw me to the ground and took over! I was fortunate to get away with this keepsake, and it was a good thing she had her private body guard guy to protect her.

The royal prince and princess were honored to be at the celebration!
Prince Bubs left his kingdom on another island to be with his queen grandmama.

Princesses Alohi, Tiana and Sachi listen to the court manager Dayna (mom and aunty).

The Queen makes a royal wish and does the blow thing!

Keven the royal jester takes some time to contemplate his next funny...I love the guy!

Princess Aloha, so regal!

Princess Sachi likes her dragon alive! ARRRRR!

Princess Tiana makes sure that the dragon's flames backfired and cooked himself...to a crisp!

It was a wonderful, royal evening!

Happy birthday, Queen Jackie and many, many more!

Party on Jackie!

Happy Birthday dear Jackie and many, many more! This picture was taken at Aunty Tutu (Honey) and Uncle Johnny Thompson's house on Halekou Road in Kaneohe. Kathy Thompson is on the rocking chair (her grandma's house). I think this must have been an Easter and we haven't had time to bust out our play clothes and roll down the grassy lawn!

Look at Jackie, she always had perfect eyebrows! Love you, Jack!

Valentine '09

The day began a little rainy, Kel and Bobby did their best to keep dry.

The girls always love to get together..yikes, they are becoming little ladies (Tiana, Tori, Sachi and Chels)

Lolly and Puni...yes, they actually had a weekend off....together!

Jackie and Linn in deep conversation...and enjoying it!

Jessica Robertson, isn't she lovely?

Awww, the Iwata's, Ross and Nikki...two of my favorite people!

Let the games begin...Hawaiian games...food! Corn on the cob, a delicious island salad, oven baked shrimp, drizzled with olive oil, garlic salt and lime.

Yay for carnivores! Oh, yes, we did cook them =)

King crab legs, it doesn't get much better!

All in all, it was a beautiful day....
More later!
